Lexnet 3.0 is an evolution of the application that started service in 2004 in the courts of Castile and Leon. The new version, which has worked in the past year, has the following structural and functional improvements:

Lexnet

Lexnet is a platform for secure exchange of information between the courts and a variety of legal operators in their daily activities, need to exchange legal documents such as notices, letters and demands. About 22,000 users now use the tool, mostly attorneys, but also lawyers, clerks, employment consultants, tax or lawyers.
As the volume of claims that are being handled, we should mention the exponential growth experienced by the use of the system. In fact, if in all of 2004, 22,000 notifications were made at the beginning of this year there were more than a million notifications per month, which involve, over the life of Lexnet, a total of more than 22 million service by electronic means.
Lexnet The operation is based on a secure email system, with electronic signature, through which the user receives the notifications issued by the court and presents written electronically. Later, through the same system, you receive an electronic receipt which proves that the transfer was successful and he communicates the actual filing date of that letter in the Judicial Office or deemed appropriate. Lexnet
avoids many travel professionals who collaborate with justice and procedural processing speeds, reducing the waiting time in sending orders, judgments or copies of letters to the parties. Its use is also the daily saving of about 4 million pages.

Lexnet and Judicial Office

The number electronic notification via Lexnet practiced allows a fairly accurate assessment of the functioning of judicial activity at a site so that its growth will be directly proportional to the increase in the volume of notifications via Lexnet. This is one of the indicators analyzed by the Ministry of Justice to assess the operation of the first Judicial Offices. The new organizational model for the Administration of Justice began operations in November 2010 in Burgos and Murcia and in February this year, also in Cáceres and Ciudad Real.
Along these months, Lexnet has performed very well in the four cities. In the case of Burgos Judicial Office notes that, to date of deployment in November 2010, 12,424 notifications were made. This figure has almost doubled in March 2011 to the 26,544 notifications, outpacing pre-deployment. Murcia's situation is similar to that of Burgos, from the 35,117 made in November to 62,649 registered in late March. Applying this indicator to the Judicial Office of Cáceres, which was introduced on February 9, 2011, shows that of the 16,350 notifications performed in January this year, has passed 19,025 last March. Finally, in Ciudad Real, in the first month of implementation, the trend has been similar to that of Cáceres, of the 10,201 reports carried in the first month of 2011 has been passed to 11,266 in March.

Strategic Plan for Modernization of the Justice

The deployment of Lexnet is one of the measures envisaged in the Strategic Plan for Modernization of Justice 2009-2012, approved by the Government on 18 September 2009, which contains the set of measures to transform the public service in the coming years.
