Has Anyone Got A Questionaire

My disc 2010

In Extravaganza!

GIL SCOTT-HERON - I'M NEW HERE (XL)

Gil Scott-Heron became inactive after 17 years, backed by an array of ideas and high caliber consultants, headed in the production by the XL label owner, Richard Russell. In I'm New Here the singer wanders own authoring songs provided (as the cover of Smog that title track), to music by himself on piano, Damon Albarn by keyboards, samples of Kanye West or a simple acoustic guitar. Guided by the voice of the American emaciated, won album of songs like first-hand testimony of bottoming out and live to tell.

Super45 GIL SCOTT-HERON - I'M NEW HERE (XL)

with The Last Poets and The Watts Prophets, Gil Scott-Heron wrote the decalogue first rap in the early seventies and was losing continuity in the way disappeared altogether after 1994. Rumors of HIV and drug addiction were observed the trend of his later years, until Richard Russell (XL label owner) began working as a producer in the U.S. return. "I'm New Here" is a reflection of recordings that began in 2007 and included as a keyboardist Damon Albarn, and Smog covers of Robert Johnson, and samples of Kanye West (who then he returned his hand on "My Beautiful Twisted Dark Fantasy"). Devoid of false triumphalism that abound in returns of old icons, this album shows a cat who is emaciated, but still hungry. Flee, rats.
